This is what Nova Scotia does to attract people back to Nova Scotia who leave for better jobs in Calgary, they don't offer anything new to people, just wasting taxpayers money on amateur videos.

  • This sorta reminds me of how everyone leaves Maine for jobs elsewhere in the country. And you might find some good ones out there, but you'll never top Maine's quality of life and natural beauty, not in the US at least. I want to go to Nova Scotia sometime, the Maritimes seem absolutely wonderful.

  • It's a great place to visit but you wouldn't want to live here. I don't know about Maine, but around here you can turn on the TV and hear the same old stories on how everyone has to tighten their belts for the financial mismanagement of the previous government.

  • I love it. Very funny stuff. Come on, really don't take it too seriously you IT geeks need to get your pencils out of your arses. Nova Scotia is a great place and you cannot deny it.

  • Unless you compare your wages to your counterparts across the country. Then you can easily start denying it, especially when you find out how much farther your dollar goes in other parts of the country.

  • I take it back, I _can_ believe the NS govt would pay for something like this.

And Jim's gf says he's working a tonne of hours...yeah he's not unionized and I bet he's working for OT pay.

IT in Nova Scotia springing up all over the place? Umm, jobs aren't all made equal.

*sigh* well, anyone in Calgary can take a vacation to Halifax to see how things really are. I doubt this ad would have much of an overall effect.

  • I remember ATV news doing a story on this and the people in Alberta didn't really seem to care about the whole thing.

As soon as I saw this ad, I thought to myself, yeah his friend is trying to lure him back to N.S. for a laid back lifestyle....and for what? Nepotism aside, someone who did move back here from such a commercial I would highly doubt, would have the time to spend all their hours out at the cottage/Hfx. Hbr.

  • I'd rather be poor in Nova Scotia than rich in Alberta.

  • nova scrotummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm faggots

  • @Munderwood2004 One day you will lern that salary is not the most important thing in life. Sadly by then, you will have wasted many years that you cant get back.

  • He has working there nothing for him in Nova Scotia come back and save Nova Scotia from this Tory Government that about all you do.

  • ...lmfao

  • Mmmmm Im leaving Alberta in a week. I have never been to Nova Scotia but "Jim" Im coming home! You might be able to make more money here but with the cost of everything else, you might as well stay where you are and not take the likely chance of being stabbed, mugged or shot.

It is not about making more but spending less

This albertan is giving it up for a ocean view..even if I have to live in a tent.
