There is one thing people always get mad about in the states. If you point out the major things wrong about their version of the war of 1812, you'll realize they don't have the fact that the White House DID get burned, just not by Canadians. It was done by the British.

i just hope everyone knows tht nobody won the war of 1812. I am canadian, and our old text books say we won. and the old american textsbooks say that america won. the truth is nobody won it was a tie

@RunnerLP Canadian citizenship didn't exist until 1946, so technically during that time anyone living in Canada was considered to be a British subject. Any British victories would be celebrated by Canadians because they would be British during that time period.

@CanadianStereotype saxons were a germanic tribe. normans were from northern france hence the simliarities with both languages. yes they both invaded and colonised the british isles and the likelyhood is that if ur white and have an english surname u will have ancestors from both and probably, roman, celt and vikings. a lot of raping and pillaging has occured in old blighty.

@SuperSpeedLemon Unfortunately, I've seen ONE thing wrong. They fail to mention that the White House was ever burned, and the fact that they were in another part of the US waiting for the British, while the British had an easy time marching straight to Washington. Putting both histories together makes up for all the discrepancies, and can also guarantee some laughs too. Try it.
