BEYOND MEDIA

The BEYOND MEDIA festival http://www.beyondmedia.it, that has been taking place in Florence since 1997, is devoted to the most advanced visualizations in architecture and to the debate on the relationships between the project and the media of communication. The event, curated by Marco Brizzi, has been constantly observing the development of the systems of communication in the field of architecture by promoting quality and research in the development of communication media for design projects.

The program of the festival focuses on an investigation of the contemporary architectural production, a discussion of emerging theories, a presentation of the most recent and significant researches in the academic field, a development of the relationships between architecture and the media. The program is articulated through the presentation of the most recent and significant video and multimedia productions realized worldwide, installations, meetings and workshops with the protagonists of the international debate.
