beating your chest is their shia practice but ahlul sunnah wal jama3a is the straight path. the prophet said ''anything new in Islam is bidaah and will lead to hellfire'' Do you think the prophets beat their chest or they praise ALLAH? Show me in the Quran where it is ok to beat your chest and cut your forhead with a sword? It is haram to injure yourself or cause haram to yourself because ALLAH created mankind and why change ALLAH'S creation? Would you follow an imam or a Prophet? ask yourself?
