VP Biden's Chief Economist Predicts Stimulus will "Save/Create" 750,000 Jobs

Fox Business: When are we going to see the bulk of those jobs get out their into the system

Bernstein: We, we expect the recovery act to ramp up over the next few months. That by the end of the summer we will have saved or created 750,000 jobs, and of course by the end of next year 3.5 million. We also think that this plan, once it is completed by the next year, will keep that unemployment about 1.5 to to 2 percentage points lower than it would have been.

Wow. And you'll be able to measure this how? I thought the stimulus was supposed to "get us back on track", not make it simply suck slightly less.
