That is actually the rev limiter. Stock intake is perfectly fine for what I do. As long as the air filter is clean, the throttle plate is the restrictor in that system, not the intake nor the filter.

2005 is the first year Honda CR-V came with VSA/VSC in the US. It is also the first year for the CR-V to get drive by wire (required for VSA/VSC)

what is VSC and how do you turn it off? =D

VSC= Vehicle Stability Control. It was added in 2005 along with Drive by wire. There is a "VSC off" switch, that completly turns it off, unlike other brands which just makes it less sensitive.
