::Spoiler Alert sort of for We Bought A Zoo:: I thought of this while having to sit through that movie. oh well.
Is it only moral/humane to euthanize old/dying animals? Why is illegal to do the same to a human in this country but not in all others? I think the person/animal who is dying's quality of life should be a huge determining factor regardless of which it is. If you can make a person live to be 150 but be bed ridden, need to have their diaper changed, need to be spoon fed, and not be able to see or hear then what is the point? To make the family members feel better that that person is still alive despite not being able to do anything?

  • i think it should be up to the individual what happen to their own body even to the point of euthanasia.

me personally i would not do it just know maybe sometime latter in my life, take an overdose of Phenobarbital and end this sad life of pain, self hatred, paranoia, physical pain just stop beaning enter into nothing what bliss.

when i go i won't on my terms.

  • There's two things being discussed here, willingly being euthanized, and non-consenting euthanasia. Willingly being euthanized is suicide, and on that I believe anyone should have the right to end their life when they wish, as its theirs to do so with. Non-consenting euthanasia seems rather reminiscent of murder to me. However, if you do not give other species a right to life, then there is no moral problem.

  • I think it's your life and you own it so you should be aloud to end it if you want to, though not if you have depression and that's your reason because you aren't in a good frame of mind to decide things like that.

  • I think that if they can do it to animals, humans should also have that choice. This is another case of humans putting themselves above their fellow creatures.
