guitar accompaniment to the playing of Cathy Cook...very similar to idea 1 just a bit louder on guitar..simple chord structure ..right hand does most of the work
by shadowing the phrasing and rhythm already present in Cathy's playing.I dont think the role of guitars in Irish music is to provide rhythm..its already dance music!

  • Bravo and thank you!!! I've been trying to figure this one out and I found this quite by accident. btw the title is Rolling Waves :-) Great job.

  • good job.

  • nice one duwd!!

got me some good inspiration.. needed that :-)

  • Some of the nicest standard tuned backup I have heard. Reminds me a bit of Arty McGynn. I think it is hard to play in standard for Irish trad personally. I never use it, but it always nice hear someone who can make it work. Fair play to you!

  • Very nice. People who want to play Irish music on the guitar have a tendency to forget these days that there are good reasons why guitars are tuned the way they are. Wes Montgomery never used DADGAD.

  • GREAT PLAYING!
