He's probably too old to be bothered. Did you try spraying the bench only & not him? It takes time for them to trust something new. Thanks for keeping me updated ... Cheers :-)))

That's so neat, it's always heartening to hear of birds being treated as a family member, well any pet for that matter. Peppy gets toast in the morning too. He also likes grated carrot, silverbeet, spinach and apple. I think he'd eat anything if we let him. I've never heard of hobb nobbs lol

Wow 25 years, he must have been well looked after in his life time, that's awesome. Your just a spring chicken yourself though lol. Wish I could say my bird was younger than me *sigh* but given that Peppy is only 4 years old ... well, the maths don't add up unfortunately :-))

@ThePadishar Hi Padishar, Peppy still likes to shower under the tap but is also now used to the spray bottle. It takes them a while to trust anything new. The main thing is that the water isn't hot or cold but just warm. I thought I had uploaded a vid of Peppy being sprayed but that was possibly on Photobucket. Thanks for your comment :-))

I've tried the spray bottle too, but the only achievement we made is that he allows me to spray him but doesn't lift his wings and doesn't look like he's enjoying it at all. I'll try to get him around the sink, perhaps this will work. Thanks :)

From 1 Tiel lover to another:-) It took a while for Peppy to get used to the water but eventually curiosity got the better of him. I have the water just warm (luke warm). He has breakfast with me & follows me around to the sink. I bought a spray bottle but he doesn't like that at all. I think it's the hissing sound it makes. Cheers :-)

Coool! How did you teach him that? My tiel is so afraid of the water...
He's adorable!

Thanks BayumGirl123, he's pretty special to me, that's for sure. He's now fine with a spray bottle too. He loves to chat but clams up whenever I put the camera in front of him. I have to try and catch him unawares. Thanks again for your kind words. :-)
