Video of piranhas with silver dollars, pink convicts and janitor fishes. Cohab successful for 3 months. A few fin nips here and there but nothing serious. Only one casualty as of today. (1 pink convict was eaten when I forgot to feed the P's for one day)

Watch until the end of the video to see the piranhas interacting with my finger.

Stock:
5 Red Belly Piranhas (2 babies & 3 Juveniles)
4 Silver dollars
3 Pink Convicts
2 Common Plecos

Thanks for watching!

  • I don't know why, but there's a lot of anatomic similarities, and behaviors too between piranhas and silver dollars, do they belong to the same family?

  • Yes, they do belong to the same family.

  • hi

i have like 7 red bellies and i want to put some other kind in there. i c u have some other kind. what r those fish and is it safe to put them in the same tank as the piranha's? are those fish still alive in the tank? please let me know. this is a beautiful tank btw. Thanks

  • if you put any fish in a piranha tank (even if it's another piranha!), don't get too attached to it. They're savages and they would eat anything if they got the chance. In this tank, you can see 5 p's with 4 silver dollars and 3 albino convicts. I lost 2 p's and 1 silver dollar already.

  • @An3ggPlant1 Depends on the state.

  • isnt owning piranhas illegal?

  • would i be able to put three red belly piranhas in a 60 gallon

  • is that a powerhead?

  • they will eat smaller fish...they shouldnt be eating ur other fish like that. i would try feeding them more often.

  • lovely tank and good choice of fishes, those silver dollar fishes are very nice, the pirahnas a nice too, but I cant keep them as pets where I live!
