Last Exile (ラストエグザイル, Rasuto Eguzairu?) is a steampunk anime directed by Koichi Chigira for the anime studio Gonzo Digimation. It ran on TV Tokyo from April to September, 2003. It was brought to American audiences through Tech TV's (now G4) television program Anime Unleashed in March 2004. It ended in December of the same year, with a full season marathon on Christmas Day. In Canada, it began to air on the digital channel G4TechTV Canada on July 22, 2007, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The animation features a combination of 2-D and 3-D CGI sequences; several key staff members such as the character designer Range Murata and Gonzo veteran Mahiro Maeda had previously worked on the production of Blue Submarine No. 6 which was done in a similar style.

The series is also notable for having much of the text in English but written with Greek letters, with all numbers given in Roman numerals, though longer sections of visible text use actual Greek.

Silvius "The reaper ship" is kinda a successor to the "Silvana" .

Yet, what really annoys me is that "Tatianna" commands it!!!!

She turned it into wreck from the first battle !!!!!

If "Alex" was alive he will turn those pathetic Ades Federation's ship to ashes !!

It's too bad they replaced the Silverna with the Silvius in season two.

@fallenvash I read the manga to it after the anime, someone recomended me to read it afterwards and consider it the real end to the show and i did.

@superdubman999 What he means to say is that *SPOILERS* you missed the things you complain about, Dio was revealed to be alive in the end of the series. And he also plays a fairly big part in the sequel series.

Elfen Lied makes me raise my brow at you. I will admit it's a good anime, but has obvious rushing flaws, similar to the first Hellsing anime. Go and read the manga for Elfen Lied, it goes on FAR longer then the anime and has a beautiful ending that made me cry many times.

@alexsolosm the name of the ship is actually "Silverna", thats why the song is called like this, and if you search for images, you will find official images that call it "Silverna" :)
