Objective-C® for Dummies® by Neal Goldstein, Copyright © 2009 by Wiley Publishing, Inc., is the main source of information for this video.

In this lesson we go into Xcode and begin coding in object oriented programming. We declare the interface: name, superclass, ivars, and methods.

  • @iiyanx7 I'd like to know the same thing

  • when you say:

    withExchangeRate:

is that made up by you, or is it made up by the system?

  • @Techn0Junki3 It's just the title for the argument "anExchangeRate"

  • superb...very helpful for beginners..... awesome work... a million..million thanks to you!!

  • omg again with this horrible BUDGET example.

  • I don't understand. When we do -(void) createBudget we are creating a method. But after the colon we are making an argument? What's the difference? Can't I assign, say "4" to createBudget and aBudget withExchangeRate? Please reply.

  • AT the end of this lesson it is good to go back to your last xcode project to compare the differences between object based & procedural...helped me anyway !
