A thief is caught trying to steal a guy's bike.

A test movie using a Nikon D90. We were just trying the different options you have with Movie Mode, and we learned some very useful things.

- Nikon D90 doesn't work well with a modern "hand-held"-style
- Auto-exposure has to be turned off!
- Focusing while holding the camera can be a pain in the a**.

But in the end, it can provide some very smooth results.

Made in about half a day. Editing in Final Cut Pro, color correction with Magic Bullet Looks.

  • Nice, which settings did you use in Magic Bullet Looks?

  • I don't recall, I think it was mostly one of the presets.

  • Hey Kazbond!

When you are filming with your D90, use AE-(LOCK) to simply lock the exposure so it doesn't change when moving the camera around on different objects.

Example: At 0:26 and forward when filming the bike you see the exposure is ticking to get correct exposure.

    Good movie thought!

  • Hey!

Yeah, I'm fully aware of the AE-LOCK, but it was only that one clip which didn't have it enabled. It was our first time using the D90, so we are more experienced now.

Check out our Plan B - Trailer. That movie was shot only with D90's

  • cool what soundtrack did you use?

  • We used a song from "The Bourne Ultimatum". I wouldn't recommend doing so though, as it removed the sound in every country except the States.

  • Decsription- Agreed! From one D90 owner to another!!! Agreed!!

  • nice movie, but funny when the guy hiding behind lamp post! :D

  • @Linogq its video is great but not for fast action, if people are into action scenes, its not the camera to get, but besides that its great. yet, you should never buy the d90 just for its movie mode.

  • next time shoot in HD

  • Nice work! :)

I have also a Nikon D90, but when I upload it at Youtube, then I can't choose to see it in HD. How do you do that?

  • Nikon just doesn't cut it with videos. Maybe with pictures yes definetly but not videos. Rolling shutter, exposure changes, and no stability and not mention no true HD, 1080, so return tihs and get a d7000.

  • tras de ladron bufon!!! jejeje!!
