This is a horse that took a lot of leg to spin a little. Here is a very detailed explanation of how to soften and build a lazy horse. Forward motion is one of the most basic principles of horsemanship. While in Germany teaching I found it better to take it all out and put it back forward with a rhythm. but that ended up with a lazy horse that want as soft to my legs and responsive in the turnaround.

  • It was taken at a beautiful barn in slovakia with a indoor bowling allie. The local people would overfill the bleachers to watch western horses and reining shows. Owned by wonderful pleasant people who where great students.

  • I did not train him. I just helped the woman cause he would not move. Your right if I was traaining a horse all the way through I would first teach them without spurs..then as tehy knew the rules soft ones. His feet where so unlevel he really could not drive. Sorry I am not allowed to ride at a hiigh level anymore because clinton anderson is selling my system..

  • @dougphipps How can we get in contact with you for lessons?

  • Yeh!! this is video of our ranch! super!! :)

  • @dougphipps Well... he's a descendent of convicts...untrustworthy and sneaky ! But we both know Doug the horsworld is overpopulated with these species.....when it comes to technical instruction you're one of the very best .

  • any horse will move with spurs... so while your teaching them to bend and move off, your also dulling him to a simple heal. This is what confuses me the most. While he looks like he takes a ton of leg, is it the spur he responds to or your cue.....

  • This has helped tons, and it works, VERY helpful for the lazy horse. Thank you, looking forward to more!

  • Very good videos, I really appreciate you sharing this info, It has helped a lot. Thank you.
