We heard about a performance art duo called O+A, AKA Bruce Odland and Sam Auinger, who were scheduled to perform a "Requiem for fossil fuels" in a bombed-out church near the Ableton offices. What really made us prick up our ears and listen, though, was the fact that Ableton Live forms an integral part of the performance. We decided to investigate. We found not only a fascinating project but also an unusual Live setup, some amazing acoustics and two very interesting artists. See for yourselves: watch the movie.

  • @MrDarcyzPP why are you so angry?

  • Oh, so if fossil fuels are disappearing making a piece of music will change that? That makes no sense. And to say it's our culture, is wrong. It's not OUR culture. We didn't decide to start burning fossil fuels, corporations did. So don't try and make me feel like you are suck goody two shoeses because you think you're actually thinking about something. that's bullshit. And cunt is spelled like that...not c*nt.

  • @BrianWilliamGreen But he did do all those things and that's fine. You don't have to show respect, you stupid little twat. Go fuck off.

  • it's creative expression you c*nt (not a very nice word by the way). and if we actually looked at some statistics of the amount of people using live in this way and the way in which it is usually used i.e dj, remix or re-create i think it would be a given that this would be the least common application of the software. hence this is more forward thinking and avant-garde than the way in which most use it, rendering this video interesting and informative!

  • respect, lot more soul than partyon glitchbeats

  • I'd rather see stomp conduct a 20 piece orchestra. Where's the love?

  • nice concept though, you foreign beggars

  • what a load of craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. Buy Max Msp and do it again. c*nts!
