That region was never part of Siam before .Issan was a part of the Kingdom of Champassak or just the federation of Lan Xang , Laos was the one who used to shared borders with Cambodia , near that temple , Laos never claimed that temple since it wasn't ours and it couldn't be Siam's either . Siam capture that region (Issan) in the end of the 18th century only . It never belonged to the Thai before . So why so much nationalism for a temple ?

The thais moved the khmer population to ayuthaya thailand after they sacked the khmer kingdom between the 14-15th century,they used the khmer to built new temples all over thailand,they took our architectures,dancers,artist,builder and scholars and they plunder and pillage our wealth and natural resource,the Khmer cannot allow this to happened again,we will fight to the very last this time....
