This is a love song.

Am I crazy or is this a love song? It's so beautiful and even more so live than on wax. Long live jazz and all its practitioners...

I've been a long time fan of John Coltrane....but it was in 2007 whilst living in Buenos Aires, aged 27, that I discovered this video on YouTube.....and the pure magic it instilled in me.....and it was there I learned spanish....which allows me to understand your message.....and I think it's beautiful you named your daughter Naima.....this really is a beautiful world we live in.....

Pure passion. Too bad the fusion doctors had to come along and destroy jazz (except Mahavishnu O).

That's not the reason it was "thrown away". It's just that people's attention span had atrophied over the years.

Shame that America virtually threw away one of its most rich art forms because of hang ups on skin color. I'm with you. : )

That would be Elvin Jones. One of the greats in Jazz history.

can anybody name the band members behind him?
-
I think he just wrote that to correlate between the actual video we are posting to.

Damn it, I was born around fifty years too late.
