Reloading 45 Colt cartridges on the cheap with a single stage press. One mistake: I did one step backwards, expanding should be done first to avoid pushing the primer out by accidentally pressurizing the case.
I've never had to expand before priming. In fact the Lee dies expand as they drop your powder charge. In the vid your doing it exactly as I do, and have never had a primer get pushed out.
@doctruptwn You're right, I remember doing the same when I had a Dillon 550B. I just thought, why not, with a single stage press.. It could happen on an enlarge primer pocket..
@hogsnplanes Hi, yes, I certainly want to.. I have some 777, but it's FFFG, and they say not to use that granulation in cartridges (only FFG). I can't find black powder locally, so I'll have to order online.. Black powder would probably get me the best velocity for the least pressure.. I also might try IMR-4227, but I need magnum primers for that..
Hello, it's a stool I bought at Target for $20.
