@fluffynoses pffft. FOOTBALL is by far the sport with the most passionate fans out there. NO ROOM FOR DEBATE.

even in Japan the football fans are more passionate than their baseball counterparts. I dont doubt that american airball or baseball fans are passionate. But they just dont compare to football fans.

i love japan

@retrofuturex dude, this is before the game has even started
i understand that soccer is the world's most followed sport but i'm getting sick and tired of all these idiots who say it has the most "passion." Go to these Japanese baseball games or college football games in America. It's too difficult to make a judgment

..before leaving home unlike many americans who appear asif they rolled out of the bed and walked out the door without any respect or regard for their appearance or integrity. you may not be able to judge a book by its cover, but it's the cover which causes one to peer inside and take an interest.

so true about mlb needs to be like this. in Nippon, the field is sacred! it is not mistreated as in mlb with the chewing tobacco spitting and littering. these things are not permitted. it is so much cleaner in Nippon baseball parks than mlb parks and the fans and players are much more respectful of the teams and parks. the Nippon fan appears to have a greater functional knowledge and appreciation of the game and also they don't look like lazy slobs. they appear as if they looked in the mirror...

agree completely.

Go to a packed Y Giants game. Soccer is loud of course, but I'm just pointing out that when the Tokyo dome is full, the sound reverberates throughout the stadium. Its quite a fun experience.

retrofuturex, obiously, you have nvr been to a baseball game. if you sit directly in front of them, youll get your face blown off. Ive been to a soccer (j leage) and baseball and i have to say baseball iswayy louder cos its in a dome and the sound vibrates more
I wish MLB stadiums had this kinda electric atmosphere. It'd be a true home field advantage for any team.
