Being as I was an Asperger's kid obsessed with numbers, I used to just love this! I haven't seen this in show in at least 20 years, it certainly brings back memories of simpler times. Too bad a DVD ain't out but I'll settle for what I can!

I don't understand why these shows would be destroyed. Whose bright idea was was anyway? Disney has all their cartoons archived from the beginning. Countries all over the world have old movies and cartoons archived. You just don't get rid of stuff like this. It could have been auctioned off for a good cause at a later time or even saved for future reference. No wonder we have no history in this country.

omg I watched this everyday when I was little!

Sad, but true.
I worked at TVO from '73 to 2006 and was senior editor. Very little remains in the 'archive'. Most shows were either discarded due to unavailable broadcast rights,- those that were preserved were transferred from the original 2" Quad to 3/4" U-Matic (not my idea, BTW!). Effort was made in 2004 to digitize what remained, but very, very little "held any lasting value" in the opinions of senior management.
A tremendously short-sighted decision IMHO. Truly sad.

Thank you so much for posting one of my many favorite shows I enjoyed whenever I had a day off from school. :) I always wanted to be a member of the Math Patrol.

I believe they're from the same company. In fact, Sidney's sidekick, Spot the Swamp Beast, made an appearance on Today's Special.
I remember when I interned at TV Ontario back in 1992 in the Kids Programming Department. I got to meet most of the original production staff of this show and many others and it was pretty cool seeing alot of the old set pieces and costumes.

Maybe you could answer a question that is dogging many TVO fans?
It is rumoured on the internet that in the early 90's TVO cleaned out their video library and destroyed many of their TV series.
Is this true?
