I made Presidents.but can do nothing if they fail: Chandrika

Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumarathunga says that she who brought Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) to power in 1994 made Presidents and Prime Ministers but can do nothing if they fail to proceed. (17/02/2008)

The former President made these comments addressing a ceremony held to declare open a bus stand built by the Western Provincial Council in Nittambuwa.

"I am ready to support anyone who works towards the development of the country. I support not with an aim to come to politics again. I am not afraid to die. Death comes to a person only once," she said amidst applause of the people gathered.
