Man, this guy is just so retarded.. Comparing healthcare with shoping groceries. that is the most retarded crap I've ever seen. And if anybody don't think socialized medicine is the best, humane way to go, look at Sweden or Norway.
I rest my case.

Man, your retarded. In Norway the income tax base rate is 28%. I pay under 13%. Sales tax is 25%. In my town it is 6% which adds 2% for municipal taxes. What does that mean? That Norwegians pay up to 50% of what they make and spend on their woptie dooo health care and other government programs. Whats the issue? I dont think that politchickens have the right to make decisions about my welfare for me.

Also comparing Norway which spend 5 billion on defence to the US which spends 500 billion, makes it obvious that nations like the US have different needs than countries like Norway. There are also 4.5 million people in Norway. There are 304 million people in the US. Dont you think just maybe it is not fare to compare the US to Norway... maybe just maybe?

Douglas, As for your VA hospital analogy .Again you are missing the most important point. The military is one of the five original legitimate functions of Government, and we owe it to veterans for risking their lives to protect us. Not everyone has earned that..and that would require infinitely high taxes..i.e. infinite loss of freedom, via income confiscation.

Douglas, You are missing something in your analysis. That's the doctor's decision, not the governments..There is a vast difference. The doctor has no power to force you to do anything. The government does. You and she still have the freedom to choose another Doctor. With competition it would be a much cheaper one too.

I got this email from a friend:
Funny, my wife got a new job, will get new health care plan and being told our doctor doesnt accept her insurance so she's going to lose her doctor. Wait, wasn't that what critics said Obama would take away... heeelllllooooo it happens every day under the current system!

I agree , the reform package would take care of the hospital bills that aren't being paid for, a patient that does not have private or some goverment assist.often declares bankruptcy.Hospitals then increase rates .
