Pay attention Lychi.... I said that I don't judge a person's VALUE by their abilities. I may come to certain points of view about their abilities and talents, but as to their intrinsic value I can only remain silent.

I did not say a child and an adult are the same. I said that the term could refer to the same PERSON. In the same way that foetus and baby could refer to the same person. Really, Lychi!... keep up with the pace!

Child and Adult are two different mental states. Unless you are suggesting that children should have the right to drink, smoke, vote, drive etc since they are the same.

A fetus can note survive by itself up to a point, and at that point, you can not legally get an abortion.

Yes I've made such judgements about an individual's specific abilities but I would certainly consider myself unqualified to judge a person's overall value, let alone their right to live.

The terms 'foetus' and 'baby' may carry different medical definitions. So what? They are fundamentally the same being. 'Child' and 'adult' have different definitions. They could very obviously refer to the same person.

Parasites are of external origin. Foetuses are not.

No, a baby is not a fetus, a fetus is not a baby. Do you understand this, or is it too complicated? There is a medical difference.

DNA wise they are the same, yet that is it. They are essentially parasitic, living off of the mother until it can survive on its own.

Speak for yourself. I don't judge people's value by their abilities. I would like to think that there is a basic level of respect for fellow humans which can be shared by all. An athlete is no more human than a quadriplegic.

A foetus is a baby that has not been born yet. As such it is unborn; an unborn baby.

Check the DNA of an aborted foetus. I think you'd find it is human.

I know you posted this a long time ago, but please hear me out.

There is no such thing as an "Unborn Baby", there are Fetuses and Humans.

They are Fundamentally different when it comes to, how many....oh right, every aspect. There is extremely limited brain activity, they do not look human, they can not feel pain.

And we judge EVERY individual's life on what they can or can't do. What do you think pulling the plug on a vegetable is?
