It was a trick question though....the answer is...without a gold standard it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell the difference

@mykoolaidtastesfunny I have no idea. I am not a medical professional, hiv expert or an epidemiologist nor am I in possession of all the facts of this case. None of us are and that is why I say, we can't jump to any conclusions based on a screengrab of a news story.

@4165mc How do you tell the difference btw a "false+" and a "true+"? A reaction looks exactly the same on the test no matter what causes it. It might just be from pregnancy or herpes.

@4165mc The reason WHY the so-called "hiv" antibody tests have no Gold Standard is because NOBODY including the "discoverer" AND test kit patent holder has ever found even one "hiv" in an aids patient in order to validate them scientifically.

I have the direct links to the test kit disclaimers on my channel under the profile pic. They ADMIT their products are UNstandardized and they make no claims that their products can make a SPECIFIC diagnosis or what the significance of reaction is.

so what. this proves nothing other than that he was given the wrong test result; that could've been caused by anything. to extrapolate from one incident that "therefore HIV does not exist" proves only that there are ppl who like to make spurious and fantastical conclusions on very little "evidence".

And something else: it is very common for an HIV+ who takes his medication to be found HIV- after a long period.
