Following VIA train 33 to Ottawa

Led by 1842 and 1838. Includes steel coil cars and some loads of railway ties...

Regrettably this might have been the last 441 with pure OC power. CN power is taking over from here on out.

We're not sure what that whistle-like noise is, after the train has passed. A similar sound was heard a few minutes before this video was recorded.

  • what time does this train come through and what day of the week?

  • Around 21:00 Sunday-Thursday but it varies.

  • not in miltary time?

  • 9:00 PM?

  • according to my parents, it's the noise made for construction workers to go on/off lunch. i know i get chills down my spine every time i hear that noise

  • Those coil cars sat at Federal for a good two months before being sent back to Coteau then west on CN.
