  • SEPTA R7 Trenton to Philadelphia local with Silverliner II cars

  • That's because it's from Europe!

  • The US does not have the tracks to run the TGV or Eurostar. The X2000 would have been the best choice for the existing infrastructure...plus it was a tested technology...dumb committee

  • x2000 would have been the best choice for a high speed train in the US. MUCH better than that ugly-ass accela.

  • And trainsets have no flexibility based on passenger load. Illinois Transit Museum has a beautiful example. Trucks are between the cars. To "uncouple" a car, you have to lift it up from the truck (bogey) in a maintenance shop.

  • @geoking66 um wrong..... there's a locomotive in the back

  • Septa

  • Actually it's an EMU so there is no locomotive.

  • What a weird horn for a beautiful train.:p
