A demo by William Brookfield of his various live, one-man setups and live performance techniques on a Kurzweil K-2000. Edited to fit into ten minutes. This demo includes a short demo (7:05) of my one-handed right-hand drumming system/layout based upon my ergonomic analysis of the human hand. While other keyboard drummers use two hands, a one-man-band cannot afford to be so wasteful.
I bought this base-model K-2000 in 1992 - just after the last ice age. HA
Jan 2011 -- I now have a new Kurzweil PC3 keyboard and have been reconfiguring it for my purposes since May. Stand by. Hope to get a video up soon.
April/12/2010 --I used my right-handed rock drumming system/setup (7:05) on my new song "Mabel Lake Road." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h--EQW4yq8M&feature=channel. I did not however, use my harmony machine on this song --maybe I should have?
Re- the drumming at 7:05. I am using a momentary foot pedal (midi programable pedal B note - Roland PK-5) to switch the layout to "extended roll" format thereby bringing the toms to my right hand. When released the layout reverts back to my default drum layout with snares on notes D and E and toms on F,G and A.

For those specifically interested in Keyboard drumming, my one handed (the right) keyboard drumming system is demonstated at 7:04. I use this particular system a lot for recording arranging and composing purposes. Drums on the right hand, bass on the left.
