You've hit the nail on the head, Steve. For good or for ill, situation comedies TEACH moral values.
Almost ALL sit-coms, prior to the late-70's relected a Judeo-Christian morality. Now, ALL sit-coms either make fun of that morality - or attempt to destroy it. Having grown-up with the 'Brady Bunch' and 'The Partridge Family,' (I was 9 years old in 1970), I'm thankful that those shows were part of the soundtrack of my life - and NOT the idiocy that we see on TV today!
