Junk antennas. Every scammer on ebay is selling these things. The chinese make them for about $2.00, sell them for $5.00 and they get resold to gullible americans for $50-100 each.

@19psi i have a bad keybord and splatter gard for frying. it works like a trap. for catching loos waves.

Yes, I'm sure you've done comparisons of this Chinese POS against a real Winegard antenna.
Your Daweoo is a better car than a Camry too.
btw, what exactly is this "splatter guard a food cooing thing" you mentioned?
-
actuley i got one of theas antenns for free and itworks great but what i fount is that he cable it cam wih was crap if you replace the cable on this device you will get better reception then the winegad amd the philips and if yooooooooatach a splatter guard a food cooing thing to the front itworks like a reflector and will give you imprrrrrrrrrved eception.

Buy and install a real system such as a Winegard 9032 and a Philips SDW1850 rotator. If you live in a flat area you'll receive channels from every metropolitan area within 100 miles of you.
People who get all giddy over receiving a dozen channels from the ebay junk shown in this video or home made antennas crack me up.

Chinese made junk?
That design tell me it's not even close to the gain that an ordinary antenna.

I bought one for $20 at MicroCenter in Columbus, Ohio, USA. I hooked it to the girlfriend's digital conveter box - the difference was astounding! More channels, less interuptions from pixelation and freeze-ups. Her son had bought her an RCA digital antenna on Radio shack employee's recommendation as the best made for converter boxes. He paid $70 - it worked *worse* than antique rabbit ears we fished from her attic. The remote operation keeps our lazy asses where they should be - on the couch!
-
I bought one of these and it didn't work.... very windy where i live and it kept folding, it was a hassle....$40.00... down the drain...

I'm on a boat! :D

What does this have to do with HDTV?
In case ya'll dont know:
It is a usual UHF/VHF Antenna. Those Type of antennas are being built since the 60s and can be used to receive all kinds of signals in the UHF and VHF Band (analouge and/or digital) !!!
The Antenna doesn't care weather it receives analouge, digital or HD signals as long as those signals are being transmitted on the UHF/VHF Frequencies. For HDTV you need a HD Tuner/Receiver. Not a new antenna - U can even use old TV antennas!
