This is a trick that doesn't appear in the manual. I asked Roland/Boss how to do this, and they replied that it was not possible. However, when I figured it out, I did tell them! It may be that the version 2 BR1600 software can do it without this trick, but mine is the version 1.

  • Hey mate- does the level calibration alter the actual level thats recorded though- hence if you mute it does it not just not record it? ah, i think you answered it actually after i asked. sorry. i'm give that a blast. cheers mate. The problem i have is if recording mic'd up electric distored guitar, my drummer complains he's too low but if i lower the guitar it records too low and if i increase his input level the input is too high and distorts. you may have shown me the solution here.
