When you die, your brain ceases to function. As we know from neuroscience, physical damage to the brain can irrevocably change one's behavior, personality, and cause permanent memory loss. If the traits that define us as individuals were an immortal component, this could not happen. All of the data points to the inescapable fact that we exist for only as long as our brains live.

That question assumes we were "put" on Earth purposely to begin with. I disagree.

Nope, no god has ever been proven or even evidenced to exist. Quite the contrary, actually. Don't just assert, back it up.

Surely you can appreciate why this argument does not work. One could assert the same of any imaginary being. It is all completely irrelevant until and unless you provide the evidence.

Do you know what satire is? I was satirically using Suzumiya Haruhi as an example of why threatening me with the Christian god is ludicrous, as your god is but one among thousands invented throughout Human history.

In other words if there were a god at all, the odds of it being yours above all other currently popular gods would be more than 1 in 4,200. I wonder how many of those send non-believers to hell.
