You should turn the fawn into the department of natural resources so they can care for the fawn so it can take care of itself when it's released. If you don't know what you're doing, the fawn will depend on you for the rest of its life. It's illegal in some states,(if not all), to keep wildlife unless you're a licensed.

The fawn eventually grew up and started staying gone for longer periods of time. She is still around, but we don't see her much anymore. She has been successfully returned into the local deer population. She won't approach a human anymore.
