I wrote this poem as an attempt at a non-cheesy retelling of Luke's gospel account of Jesus' life. In my performances, I often end with this poem, because it's simply about the good news of Christ's desire for a personal love relationship with us - individually and corporately (and sometimes you really need some good news at the end of my sets - Haha!). I like it because (at least I hope) it conveys Jesus as more than a good idea - as the God-man come to live, love, serve, suffer, die and rise out of sheer grace and desire to save people from death and into relationship with himself. That grace compels me to worship.

  • "I will be rejected but will never be dethroned." <3

  • Jesus Christ is Messiah come to him!

  • I want to meet him.... i want to be his friend. his friend instead of all the other girls i should be hanging out with.. his friend to learn what he has to say. to listen to what he has been led to do. his friend to learn his story and understand his way of thinking.

  • KONY 2012!!!!! GO to it!!!

  • well, I'm Motivated, Lets go change the world.

  • @MrJamobest U think Jesus' image was welcoming? i dont. Jesus wasnt who u see in pictures, he isnt white and probably didnt have the perfect hair and rosey red cheeks u see in pictures. I dont understand you asking him to change and to fake emotion and expect the same power and the same message.

  • this gave me chills. Levi is so blessed by God.

  • SO powerful! ... and convicting

  • this is fucking weird man

  • He should try and do a happier one...his image is not welcoming...
