indeed, a lot of people who call themselves Muslims nowadays do not even know Islam. This is the problem, they think their culture is Islam.

That is why we need One Ummah and one Khalifah, so we can spread the message to people easily and properly.

I assure you al-shabaab has knowledgeable scholars amongst them . it is the same as those ignorant afghans commiting sodomy with children ( bacha bazi ) however this isnt the authorities fault and these are just criminals. our best bid is to show non-muslims and muslims alike that this is just rogue individuals and not the fault of islam or even the law keepers . wa'alaikum asalam .

@eviilhomerr i understand this .. but i did not say saudi is a 100% islamic state. also the prohibition on women driving is a matter of fatwa . so islamically this law is justified , whether you like it or not.

furthermore , i doubt you have read the ahadith which states to keep kufr out of the arabian peninsula .. churches / synagogues and other places of worship are disallowed in the arabian peninsula ( so that means saudi / yemen / oman etc ) none of these countries have ...

@Osamabindansker Theres are not Islamic states. In an Islamic Sate 1. Rape victims are not punished, but helped 2. Hijab is encouraged but not forced 3. Women are allowed to drive 4. Women have equal rights to men 5. All men and women are equal before Allah swt, therefore no Royalty 6. There is no honour killings in Islam 7. Christians and Jews can practice religion freely These places you mention are not Islamic but cultural and barbaric, they believe in hate and death. Islam is not hate.

@eviilhomerr are you stupid ? 1. no such thing as ' salfism' . 2. saudi is actually quite close to being a fully islamic state. 3. there is the islamic emirate of afghanistan which is a full islamic state according to islamic principles etc. and im not talking about the 5 square inches karzai just about has control over..and in no way is hamas close to shari'ah ..and yes we do need one ummah . btw there are fully islamic settlements all over the world such as parts of iraq , somalia etc.

Like he said, NO COUNTRY HAS SHARIAH, Saudi is Salafism, not Shariah.  Other countries are Secularist. The closest is probably the Hamas Government in Gaza, but we need ONE UMMAH.
