I hope one day that the western part of the world realizes the truth in 13 not being an evil number.

@ThaLynx christianity is not evil, it's the people in it (mankind) that makes is evil. religion is to set you on the right path, not make your destiny.

@TranscendentalTones Ok, gotcha. It looks like they are almost exactly 32 octaves apart. I admit it's not a purely empty statement.

One thing. 136 Hz means "136 times per second." That's what it means. It's not the "exact frequency of rotation of planet Earth, as it circles around the sun every year". Because that doesn't happen 136 times every second. It happens once a year. Which is 1/31536000 Hz or 0.000000315 Hz. So I guess you have to "translate that slow orbital movement into a tone perceptible by our human sense of hearing" Which means...speed it up? But you could speed it up to ANY frequency you wanted.

@baffledSnail You don't just "speed up" the frequency arbitrarily. You apply octave by octave until you reach one version of the same tone, which is now in a hearable range. For example, when a man and a woman sing the same tune, but the woman sings an octave higher than the man, would you say that they are singing different tones? No, they are singing exactly the same C or D or F, but in different octaves, therefore different frequencies, which represent the same tone. Thanks for your input!
