What it was, and what it means for us today... The most fearful warning given to the human race in our time (the end times) is found in the book of Revelations,

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

God is not arbitrary. He will not condemn His children for receiving a secular form of social control that has no spiritual value or significance. i.e. microchip etc. Why not the SS card, or your drivers license? Do you see my point? But in the very next verse,

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

we find that the Mark of the Beast can be avoided, by keeping the Ten Commandments. We are not saved by keeping them, we are saved by accepting the blood of Jesus Christ on our behalf as the propitiation for our sins.

The Ten Commandments contain the Seal of God.

Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

Deu 6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
Deu 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

  • Beware of false prophets and teachers, hold rather to the sacred deposit of faith handed down to us by the Church that Christ founded on St Peter and which was given the "Spirit of Truth" to reside in it until the end of time. Do not be enticed from the Ark of Salvation by puffed-up and vainglorious men and religious incompetent, each wresting the bible to their own destruction, as St Peter says.

  • Or the Nazarene No dancing (in the late 90s, this was modified to forbid “All forms of dancing that detract from spiritual growth and break down proper moral inhibitions and reserve.”) Rules just the same. Did not David sing and dance before the Lord.

    Stop this division among ALL CHRISTIANS. We should love one another and not tear each other down. I don't believe this pleases God. Open your eyes, God gave us free will and sadly we use it wrongly.

  • The only perfection in Christ. Neither Catholics or Protestants have ever been or ever will be perfect. Look at the sad fact that there are so many different Protestants and so many different teachings among them. Take for example the teaching on prosperity (the only ones who really benefit are the ones preaching it!

  • this helped with my homework

  • blood was on all sides.

    Calvin, Luther, Priests all had blood on their hands for power. So sad. No one is free from sin.

  • selling indulgences is a sin and declared at Council of Trent.

  • This video is very ill informed. The central dogma that Luther objected to was the Papal Bull Unigenitas which gave theological reasons for the granting of indulgences. This was issued by Pope Clement V1 in 1343. During his pontificate he also issued orders protecting the Jews from the pogroms that were widespread during the Black Death. Catholicism"s relationship with the various Protestant denominations has been fraught to say the least. This video promotes discord rather than harmony.

  • As a Catholic, I take little exception with your statement. Good on you and Martin Luther. He saved the Church from itself! God Bless./

  • RESTORATION, not reformation, you people.

    This gave birth to over 60, 000 denominations, dividing the Church of God.

    If heresy is what you want, then, yes.. more Protestantism that goes against Jesus.

  • The council of trent was given control by the Jesuits. The Jesuits have infiltrated our churches, our schools and our government. The powerhouse of the Jesuits is Georgetown University. *Thanks for the message about faith is the only way to heaven* God bless
