That was a great video! And like other people I thought I was just weird by flyfishing for bass haha. Can't wait for summer!

Only suggestion I have is that where you are retrieving your popper, angle your rod tip more towards the water. This will reduced slack in your line and make it easier to strike when a bass hits.

you know, just for the record, you can actually buy stabilizers for you kayak that allow you to stand up in it and fish. if you have a hard time casting while sitting (cause believe me, that gets a little uncomfortable after a while) it might be something to look into

i caught a 6.5 lbs 27 inch largemouth on a fly... check out my video!

I fly fish for bass from a kayak on lakes too. Do you like longer or shorter rods or do you just stay at 9ft?
I was using a 9' eiight weight rod in this video. Since that time I have purchased a 9.5' seven weight that I think I can cast even further. I would not recommend a short rod for fly casting in a kayak. Although, you are actually no worse off than standing in water up to your butt in waders.

My kayak is a Liquid Logic Manta Ray 14. The model is now made and sold by Native Watercraft.
