Heinz Holliger is oboist in this performance of Bach's Concerto in A major for Oboe d'amore and String Orchestra (after BWV 1055). Rudolf Baumgartner conducts the Lucerne Festival Strings. I created this music video from a cassette I purchased in the early 1970s (pictured in the video above), Deutsche Grammophon, serial number 3335 410. Date of recording is 1969.

I have the same recording on LP, purchased in 1972. The disc has worn well, though it is not without its fair share of clicks and pops. I have just transferred the tracks to digital audio (mp3) files on my computer. Easier now to listen to this fine performance on other playback media.
