@nightnoia no this was bad compared to what they made in 1978 ,which was 2 years before this ,but they changed ditector and team and made this which is very poor compared to the 1st 2 books which where animated and done really well compared to this ...search for laord of the rings cartoon and see the diffeence and it will make you think this is pants in comparrison

@Andreazor have you ever seen the ist half of these movies .it was a different director and he took it right up to the battle at helms deep ,but then the took the money ran out ,then a few years later they made this with a different team like a scooby doo cartoon..but the 1st half is actully really good,if your a fan youll like the start,but they totally eeffed the return of the king

@nightnoia LOTR is about child tales? That's funny. The animated movies are obviously targeted to kids, but Tolkien explicitly intended the story to be for adults when he wrote it.
