Sisterlock Installation

I got my sisterlocks installed on Dec 26 and 27 of 2011. I love them! Sisterlocks are permanent and they are done with only your REAL hair and a sisterlock tool, no hair added. ABSOLUTELY NO PRODUCT! You can't buy the tool only a certified sisterlock consultant will have one or a trainee. They are just like traditional locks but smaller and with NO PRODUCT. also, you mentioned you had some heat damage in your journey. is there a way to fix heat damage lol. I cut off 2 inches of hair for the 2nd time since i went natural. My hair would be APL by now if i never flat ironed it. it seams my hair gives a rat butt less about heat protect ant no matter how expensive (chi) or natural (coconut/grapeseed oil) the product is. I am jealous cause everyone elses's hair seems to have a versatility (straight-curly-fro) that mine refuses to accommodate lol

@Offended83Shadow Sorry it sounds like my old story, the only way I know to get rid of heat damage when its that bad is to cut it. But the good thing is, once you do cut it, it will grow back fast. Don't hold on to unhealthy hair.

i am not sure what a sister loc is. why do you have to get them "installed" is it your real hair or your hair with something around it? can you go back without cutting it

@Offended83Shadow They use a lock tool to install them. They only use your real hair. And, I believe once they lock for good you can't undo them.
