  • Ok Joes a legand. But not one of these guys has any charisma. The drummer is beyond weird

  • @glebe3047 The drummer... you mean Gary Young, the one time Daddy Cool drummer...

  • I`d like to give the drummer the benefit of the doubt and say "No, he`s not looking at his own arms as he drums, he`s checking the cymbals," but I`m afraid I can`t. He was definitely admiring his arms. Didn`t take anything away from the song though....

  • The legendary Garry Young on drums. Ex-Daddy Cool.

  • ha ha yes! Mr Safari plays like he was hit by a tranquiliser dart intended for a rhino whilst in the jungle. When I first heard this song I also didn`t immediately think "Ah..it`s about a fighter jet.." despite what the backdrop says. All things said though, magnificent song. Hats off to nzoz1979 as usual for posting songs people want to listen to. I swear there`s a beer in it for you one day....

  • ha ha, awesome! And thanks!

  • Gary Young has/has had a great career before & beyond Joe. As to charisma - I heard Joe was like James Brown & Ike Turner in that he didn't want any stars other than him in his band!

  • @glebe3047 Poor old Wilber Wilde! I guess his lack of charisma was why he had such a terrible TV career later on. Personally, charisma be damned, if the music rocks, I'm in!

  • @carntspell guessing the jet backdrop is cos the song came from the screaming targets album?

  • An awesomely cool song!!!

  • @glebe3047 so wilbur wilde ex ol'55 and hey hey has no charisma?

  • jo jo looks like this guy i work with damingo like 25 years ago.

  • Video had only just killed the radio star the month before and look at what we're now left with. These guys were probably more interested in playing music. A lot of musicians struggled to make the transition to television in those early days.

  • They were Jo Jo Zep and "the falcons", hence the jet fighter above the stage, referencing an F16 Falcon fighter. I've always thought they were called the falcons because of Joe Camilleri's Maltese heritage....ever seen the movie the Maltese Falcon?

  • i love joe, but fuck me he looks like a retard here!!!
