metaio is working on true augmented vision: 3D optical tracking, stable overlay, high accuracy and an elaborate infrastructure. Check our website for news and launches. Things will happen!
btw, this video doesn't do metaio world justice. There is a longer version on their website which partially explains how their AR works for World.
Seems like it uses GPS, to get a general idea of where you, and then it uses user-taken photos to compare to what you're looking at, for image recognition, and to figure out where exactly the digital objects are placed. Pretty neat idea, if it works right.
Oh also, Wikitude.Me is a (very) basic version of this, available right now. but only 4 text.
I hope there's a way to post data to the world, from PC, like uploading it to a physical location. Or even being able to view local AR content (by manually selecting location) from a portable laptop+webcam.
This is the direction I wanted to see AR move towards!
This is Jean Michelle Jarre - Symphony . But it's a remix of original song. I too want to know who is author this remix.

Excellent! These AR apps are getting very interesting.
By the way, the soundtrack is a remix of a JM Jarre track, what is this version called and who is the artist, please?
