Just bought this thing, put the oil it needed, gave it fresh 76 gasoline, and did everything the manual said to do. When it idles, it has a hiccup every three seconds or so.. whats wrong with it?

here are the specs: http://www.troybilt-gen-pw.com/pressure_washers/model.cfm?id=Endeca.15822

  • @blue03r6 Thats probably true, but its more like the company is cutting corners now on parts to cut costs and put more money in their pocket.

  • @SnipesXxX that's because it was built 27 years ago when people cared about their job and proud to be working there.

  • @Stangtt it's my understanding briggs are all built in china now. been that way for at least 5 or 6 years.

the plants in south or north carolina all closed up and moved to china.

that's why I don't buy anything they make. but only because they decided to remove jobs from america and run off to $7 a day labor china and keep selling products at a 200% markup.

at least with a honda, they employ americans at their plants here.

  • my Roper riding mower has a 27 year old Briggs that runs perfect.

  • @Stangtt that is a load of bullshit the Hondas are made in japan, well the ones exported to the UK and europe

  • Thats not the engine dude its the pressure regulator on the pump thats not adjusted properly. The pump is building up pressure and then its engaging the cycle will keep repeating it self until the regulator is adjusted.

  • @blue03r6 the hondas are still built at the briggs plant. i used to build them along with johndeer, snapper, brutes and all the others sold at walmart and lowes.

  • chinese briggs and stratton garbage engines...should have bought something with a honda or subaru engine.

  • yeah dude, pull the trigger!! My buddies does the same thing and will eventually stall from pressure building up. If you pull the trigger it'll run fine.

  • put 89 octane in and remember that the engine is still turning the pump even when you are NOT spraying water,so there is a load on the engine
