This is clearly one of their best songs, and truly shows the Soul of Heppner. @22JaneDoe, this song makes perfect sense if you really read the lyrics. Nothing changed in her life-- "She never felt the same, like all the other boys and girls around." It was pretty clear what he was saying was she got into a relationship without feelings, which likely resulted from her getting pregnant and made her feel trapped with no way out besides anti-depressants, and 'cutting' or suicide.

@22JaneDoe That's not a very Goth attitude! Jeez...

You do not HAVE to fall in love to marry, I guess...*G* Try to see the song this way! :-)

I don't really get this song, first it says she never fell in love, then it says she got married but nothing changed in her life, something must of changed because she got married, unless she doesnt love the guy, but why get married if your not in love?
What is so wrong with been married with a child? Some of us would love that! 33 is not "growing old" atall! Certainly no reason to be thinking about "razor blades and pills." I like this song but it's real depressing.

Wolfsheim haben vor allem in ihren frühen Jahren textlich grossartige Stücke gehabt. Klar, sie sind traurig in vielen Fällen, aber vor allem sind sie brilliant beobachtet und unheimlich ehrlich !
