  • Very cool. What is a flicker box used for?

  • @PaulRubino A flicker box is used to create a lighting effect similar to candle light or fire light. Its a LOT safer to have on a film set than real fire. You would plug in 4 incandescent lamps and their combined flickering looks a lot like light from a fire.

    If you look at the video on my page titled "Low light test for the F3" you will see the effect in use.
