It is interesting to me that they have included in this clip her song of being raped and then her talking about abortion. There is a connection between them in that anti-abortionists want a woman to lose power over her own body, the same way that a rapist does. I love Tori, she is such an insightful person. She is not afraid to speak up, and when she does she has something intelligent and sensitive to say.

i love what she says about abortion . that its not about the children its such a beautiful simple point . shes such a impressive brave woman to go through something awful and life threatening and turn it into something beautiful and to have the strenght to talk about it and help other woman with her charity work . shes so talented . <3

Don't you think it's more selfish to bring a baby into a life where it can't be supported properly? And before you say something as insensitive as 'the mother should have the baby anyway and then give it up' think about how utterly traumatic that is for the faultless mother. And if people argue that a group of cells is a 'life', wouldn't that make masturbation mass genocide? I'm not trying to be provocative, I'm serious. 'selfish' is too generalized.

I'm sorry if this sounds aggressive, but one year on from writing this, do you still truly believe what you wrote here?? Do you really still think that women's reasoning behind having abortions is to take out their frustration using the baby as a scapegoat and get past their rape? No. They don't turn to abortion as 'the answer'. What's 'selfish' is to keep a baby with god knows who, despite the fact you can't support it, just because you want a baby. That puts much less of a value on life.

Wow, you fundamentalists are frightening (all those bombers were fundamentalists too). Imagine you're going out for a special night, looking great. Because of that, someone punches you, and punches and punches and punches. The next day you're black and blue and in hideous pain. But it doesn't stop. For nine months they keep punching you.
