America is a land of immigrants. North Americans are legal citizens of the United States of America. It is a land to share, not destroy. The U.S. welcomes people from all cultures and backgrounds, but the U.S. is also just like any other country trying to keep track of who is visiting and staying in written form. One can be illegal and still live a prosperous life in the U.S. but he/she will be restricted in many ways...But there is always room for more.

Oh, and for those people that say "WE NEED THE ILLEGALS" because they do work Americans won't is nonsense. I figure if there were 12 million less workers available in the US our children would have excess opportunities that would in turn pay a little more giving them a better sense of responsibility saving money in the bank, taking small loans for cars, etc. They would have something to build character from instead of playing video games. Plus, ALL unemployed NOW could be working.

I don't think cheap labor can be attributed to this countries wealth, especially when many nations had slave labor and they did not achieve what can be called American exceptionalism.

If I am not mistaken, I think we in the US were given a higher personal monetary percentage for our labor produced than many other nations giving us the strong middle class.

Unfortunately, our society has become less dependent on physical labor with one machine taking the place of 30 workers.
