  • maybe that's another name for it?

  • So, does a Valve Trombone and a BC Baritone have the same fingering chart?

  • @DynamiteChannelist

Hey there, my Bb valve trombone has the same fingering as a trumpet (I don't know what a Bc baritone is though sorry)

  • Isn't it a pisto trombone ?

  • @peterDiglin BC Baritone is Bass Clef Baritone. TC Baritone is Treble Cleff Baritone.

I'm guessing that's right since that's what we call it in marching band

  • @DynamiteChannelist there are some 4 valve troms in Tyrol, just like Euphonium, valve 4 = 1+3

  • @DynamiteChannelist Yes, all valved brass have the same fingerings (given the position of the note on the staff regardless of which staff it is).

So a valve trombone and a baritone have exactly the same fingerings. A trumpet would have the same fingerings if you only go by note position and not what staff your reading and what the actual written note is, though.
