This might very well be the best, and re-invented, mobile browser in the world, but the having these two guys from Product Design presenting it was not only painful but flat out awful. So whatever capabilities the product might have had was poorly communicated, it could single-handedly bury the launch. The Mozilla team might want to rethink having these guys as the evangelists of this product.

"You don't really need tabs, so we actually combined tabs and history into the same thing."

Tabs are just the result of people wanting to SEE the (recent) history directly on the screen. And they're a way to "favorite" (while closing others) what you're looking at without having to create a favorite for them. For example, I LOVE the ability to save my tabs and then close my browser and reopen it and have them come up again.

I think that no matter what we do, things will always get complicated. Why? Becuse the human mind and this world we live in is not simple. There're nitty gritty details. People have their own habits. Bugs surface. Turbulence strikes. Etc. Minimalism is like trying to swim against the tide. You may win some battles, but the war is never won.

One thing that's interesting to me is I NEVER use my keyboard unless I'm entering an address or typing something (a post).

Sometimes I'll hit ctrl-f to search. But that's about it.

Is there a way that the keyboard could be better used somehow?

What do I most often do when I browse?

    1. Click a link on the web page

    2. Scroll

    3. Use a control on the web page

    4. Click on a favorite (favorite, bookmark toolbar, saved tab)

    4a. ... or enter address.

    5. Click on a different tab - i do this a lot actually

But keep in mind that everything in an interface is just How much do I have to click my mouse or move it to get the desired functionality?

As the desired functionality piles up, it gets complicated!!!!!
