With Amtrak's equipment moving out of the way, it's time for Norfolk Southern to move their stuff.

With all of Amtrak's equipment together, the train starts to head up to the switches in order to clear the way for Norfolk Southern's equipment. The two coaches behind the 40th Anniversary set are the Pacific Cape and the Beech Grove.

Now that the track is clear, SD40-2 6120 starts to make it's way to the switches, sounding its awesome P5. After changing tracks, it doubles back to pick up RP-E4C 727 and GP40-2 3005. Meanwhile, Amtrak's equipment backs down the other line.

  • Great video Richard. Great catches.

  • @JoeyBiguets As far as the displays went, last year definitely had a wider variety of displays in the roundhouse. I mean, last year you had a Canadian Paciifc SD9043AC, a CSX Genset, and even Norfolk Southern's battery-powered unit. The Amtrak heritage equipment was cool to see, but it didn't give too much variety.

  • Nice stuff wish i was there?!
